Market failure

Science and Engineering graduates can generate and implement ideas for making products better and also cheaper. On the other hand, producers are desperate to leverage it to make more profit. Although, both of them are residing in the same place, but the transaction is not taking place between potential idea suppliers and customers. In The WAVES, we term it as Market failure.

Here is a role for the government to prime the pump. The Supply-side needs to be strengthened to produce ideas that potential customers can leverage to make more profit. Upon making the supply available, the demand side should be stimulated to try on. Once a profitable demonstration is made, the transaction between idea suppliers and customers will start taking place for making more profit. Consequentially, the idea market will start functioning.
